We offer you a SIV clinics course where you will find the answer to this questions!

We do the courses in our SIV CENTRE close to Àger, in Sant Antoni marsh between Tremp and La Pobla, south Pyrenees.

This is an essential course in the progression of a pilot.

Course details:

Objectives:

• Understand and practice the mechanics of security flight.
• Give new sensations to the student to improve the pilot skill level.
• Discover how to pilot the wing out of normal flight limits
• Practice and feel the sensations about throwing the reserve.

Contents:

1st level:

Basic security manoeuvres:

• Amplitude of controls
• Big ears
• Assymetric collapse
• Frontal collapse
• dolphins
• Croissants
• "B" stall
• Wingovers

2nd level

• Spiral dive
• Spiral with big ears
• Accelerated frontal collapse
• Accelerated assymetric collapse
• Autorotation
• Fullstall
• Spins
• Search of stall

The course is personalized for each student and will be accurate at its skill level. Throwing the reserve is optional but recommendable.

Duration: From 2 to 5 days, depending on the weather and the number of pilots.

Place: SIV CENTRE of Àger (Lleida).

Requirements: You have to have the liscense valid in spain.

Equipment: You have to use your normal flight gear: Wing, harness, rescue system and 2m radio.

Included:

• Watertight bags for the radio
• Life jackets
• Analisis and comment every day of the filmed manoeuvres
• Theorical notes.
• Optionally you can buy an edited video of your course.

Our equipment:

• High powered motorboat
• Payout winch with 1500m of line.
• Room equipped with video projector.

We use a payout winch installed on a high powered boat. We normally reach about 800m over the lake. We have some advantatges using this method:

• Optimization of time. We don't have to go to the take off to fly. The take off is also the landing zone.
• All the pilots can see directly the evolution of each other. Observation is a very important method of learning.
• If the landing is flyable, the take off too.
• You end up the course being an experienced tow pilot.
• No complications with towing. The skills required are basic ground control handling.

Do the course in Àger has some benefits:

• We have our installations in Àger, for example a 3m wide projection area to view the films.
• Cheap area. Is not a very touristic destination like Alps, for example.
• Good weather.

We do courses for a minimum of 3 peoplee groups. If you are in this case, contact with us and choose the date.

IMPORTANT: You will do the manoeuvres over the water with all the security systems and guided for liscenced instructors by "Federació Aèria Catalana" and "Escola Catalana de l'Esport"

This course is developed by Entrenúvols, a recognised paragliding school by the "Federació Aèria Catalana" and "Real Federación Aérea Española".
