PARAGLIDING |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
For your definition… Paragliders are non-rigid inflatable wings that once inflated allow a person to soar on the flow of air like a bird. Using state of the art fabrics they combine the security of a parachute with modern wing design to produce an aircraft that is very easy to launch, fly and land. It is totally flexible and the entire aircraft fits in a backpack. The paraglider is the lightest aircraft in the world. It is foot launched which means we don`t need wheels to take off or land. For your historical background… The Paragliders came from a design in the 60s, when engineers were attempting to create an aircraft to recuperate space capsules. Paragliding and hangliding were born from this need to have a steerable parachute. Since then, the difference between these parachutes and paragliders has grown. For your safety… What once was a dangerous adventure sport is now strictly regulated and the material has to pass international safety levels. One of these requires that the paraglider supports 8 times the weight for which it is designed for. Despite such security control, as in life, nothing is 100% secure, which is why each paraglider also carries an extra safety parachute. If the paraglider should deflate (for whatever reason) the safety parachute can be thrown. YOUR SAFETY ALWAYS COMES FIRST. For your flight… The paraglider is the lightest aircraft in the world and also the most akin to flying like a bird. Paragliding, you can also feel the air on your face and take advantage of the air currents to travel far and away through the clouds, where only there will you truly understand the sensation of freedom. As Leonardo da Vinci describes Free Flight: See you at the take-off! |
